Our hot water tank went down this morning and we were at a loss. I called Sargent's plumbing and Andrew Sargent took my call. He had Jeffrey Sargent come to our house in a very short matter of time. Jeffrey installed a new hot water tank and you could tell that he really takes pride in his workmanship. Totally satisfied with the quick response and a job well done. Follow up, I had a slight drain problem from the install but Sargent's plumbing responded immediately and took care of it. Great company, with great service.

We’ve used Sargent’s Plumbing twice and both times they were awesome! The first time was last Christmas Eve afternoon. Our half bath toilet was leaking. They were able to schedule us that day. Hayden arrived on time, assessed the situation, fixed it quickly and didn’t leave a mess. Just recently, the same toilet developed another problem. Called Sargent’s. Jeffrey arrived a little early (not a problem), listened to my concerns and made some adjustments hoping to correct the problem. Unfortunately, it didn’t. He told me it might not; that the toilet should be replaced. Doing that in a couple of days. Quoted a reasonable price for this replacement. He and Andrew have been very patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!

We have had issues with our sewer backing up into the house for a long time. I was worried when I first called because Sargent’s charges by the hour but wait.. They helped unclog the drain so fast it will make your head spin! Super nice, honest, and much more than fair to say the least. Use Sargent’s once and you won’t let anyone else help with your plumbing. Our issue was a little flap that broke off to keep sewage from back flowing into the home. (Ironic isn’t it that this is exactly what this valve caused several times?!). We couldn’t be happier!

24/7 EMERGENCY Sewer Line Inspection

A sudden sewer backup requires a fast and accurate diagnosis. Guessing where the clog is can waste time and money. Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain offers 24/7 emergency sewer line inspections. Homeowners in Broken Arrow and nearby cities rely on us to find the problem fast. We never charge extra fees for homeowner emergency or weekend calls.

Sewer Line Inspection in Broken Arrow, OK

A sewer line inspection is a non invasive service that uses a specialized video camera. This camera is attached to a long, flexible fiber optic cable. We insert the camera into your plumbing through a cleanout or by removing a toilet. Our licensed plumber then pushes the cable deep into your sewer line. We watch a live video feed on a high resolution monitor. This allows us to see the exact condition of your pipe’s interior. We can see blockages, cracks, root intrusion, and collapsed sections. The camera’s transmitter also allows us to pinpoint the exact location and depth of any problems.

This service is crucial for accurately diagnosing sewer issues. Before camera technology, finding a sewer problem involved extensive guesswork. A plumber would have to dig up sections of the yard. This was destructive and expensive. A video inspection eliminates all guesswork. We can see the problem, identify its cause, and find its precise location. This allows us to give you a straightforward quote for a targeted repair. It is the modern, professional way to handle sewer and drain problems. We can also record the inspection. We will provide you with a digital copy for your records.

We recommend a sewer line inspection in several key situations. The most common is for recurring drain clogs. If you are snaking the same drain every few months, there is an underlying problem. A camera will find the root cause, whether it is roots, grease, or a broken pipe. You should also get an inspection if you experience multiple drains backing up at once. This signals a main line blockage. A camera inspection is also a vital part of a real estate transaction. Before you buy a new home in Broken Arrow, an inspection can save you from buying a house with a failed sewer line.

Our camera equipment is advanced and effective. The camera head is waterproof and has its own powerful LED lights. This illuminates the dark pipe, giving us a clear, full color picture. The camera is also self leveling. This means the image on the screen is always upright. This makes it easier to diagnose the pipe’s condition. The flexible cable can navigate the twists and turns of your plumbing system. The transmitter in the camera head sends a signal to our receiver. Our plumber follows this signal above ground. This allows us to mark the exact spot of the problem in your yard.

A camera inspection can reveal a wide range of problems. The most common issue we find is tree root intrusion. Roots seek out the water in your pipes and grow through tiny cracks. We also find clogs caused by grease buildup or flushed objects. The camera can identify structural problems. This includes cracks, fractures, or bellies in the pipe. A belly is a sag in the line where water and waste collect. We can also see if a pipe is offset, meaning the joints have separated. In older homes, we often find collapsed sections of clay or cast iron pipe.

The inspection process is clean and efficient. Our licensed plumber will arrive and locate your sewer cleanout. This is usually a capped pipe outside your home. We will insert the camera and begin the inspection. We will push the camera all the way to the city sewer main if possible. During this process, we will explain what we are seeing on the monitor. We will show you any areas of concern. We will use the locator to mark any problems in your yard. The entire process is typically completed in about an hour. It is a clean service that does not create a mess.

When you get an inspection from Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain, you get an honest assessment. We are a locally owned business built on integrity. We will show you the video and explain your options. If the pipe is in good shape, we will tell you. If it needs a simple cleaning, we will recommend that. We will only recommend a repair or replacement if it is truly necessary. We provide long term warranties on our work. We also offer 10% discounts for veterans, seniors, and teachers. This is all part of our 5 star service guarantee.

All Services Offered By Our Plumbers in Broken Arrow, OK

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain is based in Broken Arrow, located at 605 W Oakland Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, proudly serves customers in the Tulsa metro area. In addition to Sewer Line Inspection, we offer a full range of plumbing services for homes and businesses. Below is our services list offered by our plumbers:

What Makes a Great Sewer Line Inspection Service

A great sewer line inspection service uses high quality equipment. The camera should be high resolution, lighted, and self leveling. The plumber must be an expert at diagnosing what they see on the screen. They should be able to tell the difference between a clog and a collapse. The service must include a locator. This finds the exact spot and depth of the problem. A great plumber will patiently explain their findings to you. They will provide a digital recording of the inspection. Finally, they will offer a clear, honest quote for any needed solutions.

Most Common Sewer Line Inspection Questions

A camera inspection is the best way to understand your sewer’s health. Many homeowners are curious about the process and what it can find. Here are the common questions we answer about this service in Broken Arrow.

You should schedule a sewer line inspection in a few specific situations. The most common reason is for recurring clogs. If you have a toilet, shower, or sink that keeps backing up, a camera will find out why. This is especially true if you are snaking the drain every few months. This indicates a deeper problem, like roots or a broken pipe. You should also call us if you have multiple drains backing up at the same time. This is a clear sign of a main sewer line clog.

Another critical time for an inspection is when you are buying a home. This is especially true for any house over 20 years old. The cost of a sewer inspection is very low. The cost of replacing a failed sewer line, which you could inherit, is very high. An inspection can save you from a five figure repair.

We also recommend an inspection if you are planning a major renovation. Before you add a new bathroom, you should confirm your main line can handle it. Finally, if your home has large, mature trees, a proactive inspection is a good idea. It can catch a root problem before it becomes a major backup.

A sewer camera inspection can find almost any problem within your sewer line. It gives us a clear, visual diagnosis. We can identify the exact cause of a blockage. This includes heavy grease buildup, flushed wipes, or foreign objects. We can also see the most common problem: tree root intrusion. We can see exactly where the roots are entering the pipe.

The camera is also essential for finding structural problems. We can see cracks, fractures, and holes in the pipe. We can identify bellies or sags in the line. This is where the pipe has sunk, and waste is collecting. We can find offset pipe joints. This is where two sections of pipe have separated, creating a gap.

In older homes, the camera often finds collapsed pipes. This is common with old clay or cast iron lines. The pipe has simply broken down and caved in. The camera inspection tells us everything. It is the difference between guessing and knowing. This allows us to recommend the correct, most cost effective repair.

A typical residential sewer line inspection is a fast and efficient process. For an average home in Broken Arrow, the entire service usually takes about one to two hours. This includes the time for our licensed plumber to set up the equipment. We will locate your sewer cleanout and prepare the camera. The inspection itself involves running the camera through the line. This might take 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the length of your pipe.

During the inspection, we are actively analyzing the footage. We may move the camera back and forth over areas of concern. We will also use the electronic locator. This involves walking your yard to pinpoint the camera head’s signal. This adds a few more minutes. After the inspection, our plumber will spend time with you.

We will re-show you any important footage. We will explain what we found in clear, plain language. We will also discuss your options and provide a straightforward quote if needed. We work diligently to respect your time. We provide a thorough diagnosis with minimal disruption to your day.

No, a sewer line inspection is a very clean process. Our plumbers are professionals who treat your home with respect. In most cases, we perform the inspection from an outdoor cleanout. This is a capped pipe in your yard or near your foundation. All our equipment stays outside, and there is no mess at all. We simply run the camera into this access point.

If your home does not have an accessible cleanout, we have other options. We may need to access the line from a crawlspace vent. In some cases, we may need to remove a toilet. If we must do this, we are extremely careful. We will lay down protective tarps on your floor. We will safely remove the toilet and place it on the tarp.

After the inspection, we will properly reinstall the toilet with a brand new wax ring. We will clean up the work area completely. You will not even know we were there. Our 5 star service guarantee means we work cleanly and professionally. We are dedicated to protecting your property while we diagnose the problem.

If our sewer camera inspection finds a problem, our plumber will show it to you. We will show you the exact footage on our monitor. We will explain in clear terms what the problem is. This could be a clog, a root ball, a crack, or a collapsed pipe. We will then use our locator to mark the exact spot and depth of the issue in your yard. This takes all the guesswork out of the repair.

Once we have diagnosed the problem, we will discuss your options. We are an honest, locally owned company. We will not try to upsell you. If the problem is a simple clog, we will recommend a snaking or jetting service. If the problem is a single break, we may recommend a spot repair. If the line is full of roots, we will recommend jetting and can discuss long term solutions.

If the pipe is collapsed or failing, we will provide a straightforward quote for a sewer line repair or replacement. We will also provide you with a digital copy of the video inspection. This is for your records. It also allows you to get a second opinion, which we encourage. Our goal is to give you the information you need to make the best decision.

Yes, we strongly recommend a sewer line inspection, even for a newly built home. A standard home inspection does not include this service. The home inspector will only run the faucets and flush the toilets. They cannot see the condition of the underground sewer line. A new home can still have sewer line problems.

During construction, the sewer line can be damaged. Heavy equipment can crush a pipe. The line could be installed with an improper slope. We have also found construction debris, like wood or concrete, inside the new pipes. These problems will not be apparent during a simple walkthrough. They will, however, cause major backups months after you move in.

For older homes, an inspection is not optional; it is essential. You are not just buying the house; you are buying its plumbing system. An old clay or cast iron sewer line could be full of roots or on the verge of collapse. A sewer replacement is a major, expensive repair. A small investment in a camera inspection gives you negotiation power. It can save you from a financial disaster.

A sewer line inspection is a very affordable diagnostic service. The cost is a flat fee, not an hourly rate. This service is far less expensive than any sewer repair. It is a small investment that provides immense value. The peace of mind and accurate diagnosis are well worth the cost. The inspection can save you thousands by preventing a misdiagnosis.

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain provides straightforward pricing. We will give you the price for the inspection over the phone. We are an honest company built on integrity. We also offer 10% discounts for veterans, seniors, and teachers. This makes our valuable service even more accessible.

Think of the cost in terms of risk. A sewer replacement can cost many thousands of dollars. A camera inspection costs a tiny fraction of that. It is the best way to know for sure what you are dealing with. It is the first step in getting an accurate quote for any repair. This prevents you from overpaying for a solution you may not need.

No, chemical drain cleaners are not a substitute for an inspection. In fact, they are a terrible idea for a main line clog. Chemical drain cleaners are highly toxic. They are dangerous for you to handle. They are also terrible for your pipes. These harsh chemicals can eat away at older cast iron pipes, making the problem worse. They can also melt PVC pipes.

More importantly, they do not work on main line clogs. A chemical cleaner is designed for a small clog in a sink trap. It cannot clear a clog caused by tree roots. It cannot fix a collapsed pipe. It will not remove a 20 foot clog of grease. The chemicals will just sit in the pipe.

If you have a recurring clog, you have a physical problem. You need to know what that problem is. Pouring chemicals down the drain is a waste of money. It is also a safety hazard. Our plumbers have to deal with these chemicals when we arrive. A camera inspection is the safe, professional, and effective way to solve the problem.
