They get the work done in a timely manner; they have good availability; and, their prices are on par with the market. We’ve also received recommendations for tradesman in other areas of home maintenance, which has helped us resolve issues outside the scope of plumbing.

Called Andrew for a leaking bathtub faucet. Sent him a video, and within an hour, he was there with the right part and had it fixed within 15 mins. Outstanding customer service and worth the price!
Our hot water tank went down this morning and we were at a loss. I called Sargent's plumbing and Andrew Sargent took my call. He had Jeffrey Sargent come to our house in a very short matter of time. Jeffrey installed a new hot water tank and you could tell that he really takes pride in his workmanship. Totally satisfied with the quick response and a job well done. Follow up, I had a slight drain problem from the install but Sargent's plumbing responded immediately and took care of it. Great company, with great service.
Sargents plumbing did a great job for us! They returned our service call immediately on a Sunday and came out to our home the following day at the exact time they said they would. The clogged drain was cleared immediately!!! Sargents plumbing staff is very professional and informative. Great service!!
I had the best experience with Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain I’ve ever had with someone in my home, beyond plumbing only. They came when they said they would. Came back to address concerns and make sure everything was right. Took care of our house and cleaned up after themselves. Andrew provided expertise as a plumber and exceptional customer service. Highly recommended!
Rather than charge for a service call, the owner walked me through how to fix my garbage disposal. Wow! Guess who is now in my contacts should I ever need a plumber again.
On time, professional and very fair with prices. Definitely use them again!
Outstanding job, very fast getting the job done replacing my hot water tank and fixing my leak. Highly recommend!

Great job installing new toilet and vanity. Timely and fair pricing. Will definitely use again.
Best plumber I've ever used. His attention to detail is amazing. He cares about the job he is doing, no matter the size. Neat, doesn't leave a mess. Very personal service, nothing like the corporate plumbing companies out there.
They did a great job addressing all of our issues and did it within one hour, which saved us a good amount of money.
Sargent Plumbing got me taken care of with same day service. Jeffrey’s attitude was very pleasant and professional. Will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future.
They were quick to respond on the weekend and very reasonable on pricing. Highly recommend them!
Very knowledgeable. Arrived within 30 minutes after speaking with them.
Super awesome company! They were fast and super reasonably priced. We had an emergency water pipe bust and they were out same day without charging us an arm and a leg.
Andrew is very professional and fair priced and also makes an effort to connect and care for his customers. I had a pipe bust late one evening and not only did he drop what he was doing to get my home fixed up, he also gave me a more than a reasonable charge (didn’t hit me with a hefty emergency bill). I highly recommend Sargents plumbing for anything you need.
This is the best plumbing company i've ever used and I will be calling them for all of my future plumbing needs. Very professional, fairly priced, and great work. Highly recommend.
Did the job the same day the problem happened. Jeffrey did a great job fixing the problem. If you're looking for a reliable service, I highly recommend them.
Andrew is the best extremely knowledgeable and very helpful . I highly recommend !
Above and beyond on customer service! Fair quotes! Would recommend to anyone!
Bought a house a few months back that had plumbing issues we didn’t know where there. In a panic I searched the web for reputable companies and Sargent’s Plumbing and Drain came out within 30 mins, gave me a free quote and assured they would have it brand new. I can wholeheartedly endorse this amazing company led by a very respectable and knowledgeable young man. If you have ANY plumbing concerns, Sargents should be your first and only call!
We’ve used Sargent’s Plumbing twice and both times they were awesome! The first time was last Christmas Eve afternoon. Our half bath toilet was leaking. They were able to schedule us that day. Hayden arrived on time, assessed the situation, fixed it quickly and didn’t leave a mess. Just recently, the same toilet developed another problem. Called Sargent’s. Jeffrey arrived a little early (not a problem), listened to my concerns and made some adjustments hoping to correct the problem. Unfortunately, it didn’t. He told me it might not; that the toilet should be replaced. Doing that in a couple of days. Quoted a reasonable price for this replacement. He and Andrew have been very patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!
We have had issues with our sewer backing up into the house for a long time. I was worried when I first called because Sargent’s charges by the hour but wait.. They helped unclog the drain so fast it will make your head spin! Super nice, honest, and much more than fair to say the least. Use Sargent’s once and you won’t let anyone else help with your plumbing. Our issue was a little flap that broke off to keep sewage from back flowing into the home. (Ironic isn’t it that this is exactly what this valve caused several times?!). We couldn’t be happier!
Jeffery was a quick and efficient plumber. He fixed the problem and he did a great job. He has a friendly personality and a hard worker. They get the job done right the first time!
I had a sudden pipe leak from old copper pipes on a weekend. I found Sargents and they came out right away and started working on a fix. They lined up a restoration company that was on the job immediately with machines to dehumidify. I ended up having them re pipe my house and they worked on a Sunday until it was finished. I also had them install a new water heater. Everything was done promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend
They were prompt and very informative. I am female and was never spoken down to (asi have experienced with others). Friendly. I highly recommend
Had a wonderful experience with Sargent's Plumbing! Andrew was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent communication throughout the whole project! Great pricing and got us back up and running from our gas leak issue very quickly! Will be using them again in the future!

Sewer Line Installation in Broken Arrow, OK
Sewer line installation is the process of laying the main pipe that carries all your home’s wastewater away. This single, large pipe connects your home’s plumbing to the city sewer main or a private septic tank. This service is most common for new home construction. It is the vital link between your house and the municipal system. This service also includes septic to sewer conversions. This is when a homeowner abandons their old septic tank. We install a new line to connect them to the city sewer. This is a complex job that requires excavation and precision.
The installation process is a major earth moving project. We begin by obtaining all necessary permits from Broken Arrow. We also coordinate with the utility companies to mark all underground lines. We then use excavation equipment to dig a precise trench. This trench runs from your home’s foundation to the city sewer tap. The most critical part of this process is the slope. The trench must have a continuous, specific downward grade. This ensures that gravity can pull the wastewater away efficiently. A poor slope is the number one cause of future sewer backups.
We use only high quality, modern materials for our sewer line installations. The industry standard today is strong, durable PVC pipe. This pipe is smooth, which resists clogging and root intrusion. It is also completely resistant to rust and corrosion. It will last for many decades. We lay the pipe in the trench on a bed of gravel. This gravel supports the pipe evenly. This prevents it from sagging or developing bellies over time. Every joint is sealed with a primer and solvent. This creates a watertight, root proof connection.
After the pipe is laid, it must be inspected. A city inspector will visit the site. They will measure the slope and inspect our connections. This is a non negotiable step that protects you, the homeowner. It ensures the job was done to code. Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain guarantees our work will pass inspection the first time. After the inspection, we carefully backfill the trench. We add soil in layers, compacting it as we go. This prevents the ground from settling unevenly later. We take pride in leaving your property in good condition.
This service is different from a sewer line repair. A repair focuses on fixing one problem in an existing line. This might involve patching a hole or replacing one small section. An installation, or replacement, is a much larger project. It involves installing an entire, brand new line. We often perform replacements on old homes. Their original clay or cast iron sewer lines have failed. They are cracked, full of roots, and collapsing. A new PVC sewer line is the only permanent solution. This provides peace of mind.
Connecting to the city sewer from a septic tank is a smart upgrade. A septic system requires regular, expensive pumping. It can also fail, causing a messy and hazardous backup in your yard. Connecting to the city sewer eliminates this maintenance. It is a more reliable and hands off system. We handle the entire conversion. We will install the new sewer line to the street. We will also properly decommission your old septic tank. This involves pumping it out and filling it with gravel or soil. This is a required safety step.
Choosing Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain for this job is the right choice. This is a complex project that must be done correctly. An improperly installed sewer line will cause you headaches for years. Our business is built on honesty and hard work. We are fully licensed and insured for this type of excavation work. We provide free in person estimates. Our quotes are straightforward and transparent. We offer 10% discounts for veterans, seniors, and teachers. We back our new sewer lines with long term warranties.

What Makes a Great Sewer Line Installation Service
A great sewer line installation service is defined by precision and durability. It starts with a comprehensive plan and securing all necessary permits. The company must be fully licensed and insured for excavation. The crew expertly digs a trench with a perfect, continuous slope. They use high quality PVC pipe, not older materials. The pipe is bedded in gravel to prevent sagging. Every joint is perfectly sealed. A great service always includes a successful city inspection. The trench is then backfilled and compacted properly to prevent future sinkholes. The company provides a strong warranty.
Most Common Sewer Line Installation Questions
Installing a new sewer line is a major project. Homeowners naturally have questions about the cost, the process, and the materials. Here are some of the most common questions we answer about this service in Broken Arrow.
The cost of a new sewer line installation varies significantly. The single biggest factor is the length of the pipe. A short run from a house near the street is less expensive. A long, 100 foot line on a large property will cost much more. The depth of the city sewer main is also a major factor. A deeper line requires more excavation, which increases labor and safety costs.
The landscape is another variable. A simple trench across a flat, grass yard is straightforward. If we must dig around large trees, patios, or driveways, the job becomes more complex. We may need to cut and repair concrete or asphalt. Connecting to a septic system versus a city sewer can also have different costs.
Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain provides free, in person estimates for all sewer line installations. This is the only way to give you an accurate price. We will measure the distance and assess the site. We will then provide a detailed, straightforward quote. We also offer financing options to help manage the cost of this important project.
A typical sewer line installation is a multi day project. For an average sized home in Broken Arrow, the job usually takes two to five days. The first day is often dedicated to excavation. This is the longest and most labor intensive part. We dig the trench from the house to the city connection. We must do this carefully, ensuring the trench is stable and has the correct slope.
Once the trench is dug, laying the pipe is relatively fast. We can often lay and connect the entire pipe in a few hours. After the pipe is in, it must be inspected by the city. We have to schedule this inspection. The inspector’s availability can affect the timeline. We cannot backfill the trench until the pipe has passed inspection.
The final day is for backfilling and cleanup. We carefully fill the trench, compacting the soil as we go. We will grade the area to be as neat as possible. We will always communicate the schedule to you. We work efficiently to complete the project with minimal disruption.
A septic to sewer conversion is a project where a home is disconnected from its private septic tank. It is then connected to the public city sewer system. This is common in areas of Broken Arrow that are growing. Areas that were once rural now have access to municipal services. Homeowners choose this for many reasons. City sewer is far more convenient. It does not require any maintenance.
A septic system, on.. other hand, requires pumping every 3 to 5 years. This is a regular, costly expense. Septic systems can also fail. The drain field can become saturated, causing raw sewage to back up into your yard. This is a biohazard and an expensive repair. Converting to the city sewer eliminates these problems forever.
Our sewer line installation service includes these conversions. We will install the new sewer line from your home to the city main in the street. We also handle the abandonment of your old septic tank. This is a code required process. We must have the tank pumped out one last time. Then, we fill it with gravel or soil to prevent it from collapsing.
These are two different methods for installing a pipe. Trench is the traditional method, which we have described. It involves digging a long, open trench. This allows us to lay the new pipe in the ground. This method is reliable, effective, and required for new construction. It is the best way to ensure the new pipe has a perfect slope and bed.
Trenchless methods are generally used for sewer line replacement, not a new installation. The most common trenchless method is pipe bursting. This method pulls a new, slightly larger pipe through the old, broken pipe. The old pipe is shattered underground, and the new pipe takes its place. This is a great option for replacing a line that runs under a driveway or a prized tree.
For a brand new installation, such as for a new home, the trenchless method is not an option. There is no old pipe to follow. A trench must be dug. For a septic to sewer conversion, a trench is also the most common method. We have to dig to find the end of your home’s pipe and dig to the city main. We are experts in both methods and can recommend the right one.
Yes, absolutely. A permit is 100% required for any new sewer line installation in Broken Arrow. This is a major plumbing project that involves public health and safety. The city must ensure the job is done correctly. A permit is a legal requirement. Any contractor who says you do not need one is unlicensed and should be avoided.
The permit process is for your protection. It ensures the work is done by a licensed and insured plumber like Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain. It also triggers a mandatory inspection. A city inspector will come to the site before we fill the trench. They will check our work. They will measure the pipe’s slope. They will inspect our connections.
This inspection is your guarantee that the job was done right. A new sewer line with the wrong slope will fail and clog for years. Our work is guaranteed to pass this inspection. We handle the entire permitting process for you. We file the paperwork and schedule the inspections. It is all part of our complete, 5 star service.
The slope or grade is the most critical part of a sewer line installation. Because sewer lines are gravity fed, the pipe must have a constant, slight downward angle. This angle is what pulls the water and waste from your home to the city sewer. The standard, code required slope is one quarter inch of fall per one foot of run. This means for every foot the pipe travels, it must drop by a quarter inch.
If the slope is too flat, the water will move too slowly. Solid waste will settle in the bottom of the pipe. This will quickly build up and cause a total blockage. If the slope is too steep, the opposite problem happens. The liquid waste will run too fast. It will run away from the solid waste, leaving it behind. This will also cause a clog.
The one quarter inch per foot slope is the perfect angle. It keeps the liquids and solids moving together. Our expert team uses precision lasers and levels to ensure this grade is perfect. We check it at every section of pipe. This meticulous attention to slope is what guarantees your new sewer line will be trouble free for decades.
For all new sewer line installations, we use modern PVC pipe. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a strong, durable plastic. It is the industry standard material for all drain, waste, and vent piping. It has several major advantages over older materials. Its primary benefit is its smooth interior. This smoothness makes it very difficult for waste to stick to. This makes the pipe highly resistant to clogs.
PVC is also completely resistant to rust and corrosion. Older cast iron pipes rust from the inside out. This creates a rough, jagged surface that snags toilet paper and causes clogs. PVC will never have this problem. It is also resistant to tree root intrusion. The solvent welded joints are watertight. Roots cannot penetrate these joints.
Older homes may have sewer lines made of clay tile. These pipes crack easily and are notorious for root problems. By installing a new, continuous PVC line, we eliminate these issues. A new PVC sewer line, when installed correctly, will last 50 to 100 years. We use only high quality, thick walled PVC pipe for all our installations.
Trees can be a challenge, but we work around them every day. When we plan the route for your new sewer line, we will try to avoid trees. This is for two reasons. First, we do not want to damage the tree’s major roots if we can help it. Second, we want to prevent the tree’s roots from damaging the new pipe in the future.
If we cannot avoid a tree’s root zone, we will dig very carefully. We may need to dig by hand in some sections. We will try to tunnel under major roots. When we lay the new PVC pipe, it is highly resistant to roots. The solvent welded joints are fused together. This creates a single, solid pipe that roots cannot get into. This is a huge advantage over old clay pipes.
If you are getting a new sewer line, it is a good idea to be mindful of future planting. We can show you where the new line is buried. You should avoid planting new trees or large shrubs on top of it. This will ensure your new sewer line and your trees can coexist peacefully.
