They get the work done in a timely manner; they have good availability; and, their prices are on par with the market. We’ve also received recommendations for tradesman in other areas of home maintenance, which has helped us resolve issues outside the scope of plumbing.

Our hot water tank went down this morning and we were at a loss. I called Sargent's plumbing and Andrew Sargent took my call. He had Jeffrey Sargent come to our house in a very short matter of time. Jeffrey installed a new hot water tank and you could tell that he really takes pride in his workmanship. Totally satisfied with the quick response and a job well done. Follow up, I had a slight drain problem from the install but Sargent's plumbing responded immediately and took care of it. Great company, with great service.

We’ve used Sargent’s Plumbing twice and both times they were awesome! The first time was last Christmas Eve afternoon. Our half bath toilet was leaking. They were able to schedule us that day. Hayden arrived on time, assessed the situation, fixed it quickly and didn’t leave a mess. Just recently, the same toilet developed another problem. Called Sargent’s. Jeffrey arrived a little early (not a problem), listened to my concerns and made some adjustments hoping to correct the problem. Unfortunately, it didn’t. He told me it might not; that the toilet should be replaced. Doing that in a couple of days. Quoted a reasonable price for this replacement. He and Andrew have been very patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!

We have had issues with our sewer backing up into the house for a long time. I was worried when I first called because Sargent’s charges by the hour but wait.. They helped unclog the drain so fast it will make your head spin! Super nice, honest, and much more than fair to say the least. Use Sargent’s once and you won’t let anyone else help with your plumbing. Our issue was a little flap that broke off to keep sewage from back flowing into the home. (Ironic isn’t it that this is exactly what this valve caused several times?!). We couldn’t be happier!

24/7 EMERGENCY Repiping

While a full repipe is a scheduled project, a catastrophic pipe failure is an emergency. If you have multiple, simultaneous leaks from old pipes, you need help fast. Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain can respond 24/7 to secure your home. We can stop the leaks and provide a repipe estimate. Homeowners in Broken Arrow know we never charge extra fees for emergency or weekend calls.

Repiping in Broken Arrow, OK

Repiping is the complete replacement of your home’s water supply plumbing system. This includes all the hot and cold water lines. These pipes run from your main shutoff valve to every faucet, shower, toilet, and appliance. It is a major upgrade, not a simple repair. This service is necessary when your existing pipes are old, failing, or made of outdated materials. Old galvanized steel pipes are a common reason for repiping. They corrode from the inside, restricting water flow. Old copper pipes can develop pinhole leaks. Our repiping service provides you with a brand new, reliable plumbing system.

There are several clear signs that your Broken Arrow home may need to be repiped. The most common sign is a severe, house wide drop in water pressure. This happens when corrosion builds up inside the pipes, making them too narrow. Another major sign is discolored or rusty water coming from your faucets. This is the rust from inside the pipes flaking off. You may also have recurring leaks. If you are fixing pinhole leaks every few months, your whole system is failing. A repipe is the only permanent solution for these problems. It is an investment in your home’s value.

The repiping process is less disruptive than most homeowners think. Our experienced team works systematically to minimize the mess. We begin by protecting your floors and furniture. We then make small, precise cuts in your drywall. These openings give us access to the old pipes. We do not need to tear down entire walls. We will run the new, flexible PEX piping alongside the old pipes. PEX is an ideal material for repiping. Its flexibility allows us to fish it through walls and ceilings easily. We then connect the new pipes to your main supply and to each fixture.

We offer both PEX and copper for our repiping projects. PEX has become the industry standard for repiping. It is a durable, flexible plastic tubing. Its flexibility means fewer cuts in your drywall and a faster installation. This makes the project more affordable. PEX is also highly resistant to corrosion and will not burst if it freezes. Copper is the traditional, premium choice. It is extremely durable and has been used for decades. However, it is rigid, so it requires more wall openings and labor to install. This makes a copper repipe more expensive. We are happy to provide quotes for both.

A whole house repipe offers transformative benefits. The most immediate benefit is a dramatic increase in your water pressure. Showers will be stronger, and faucets will run at full blast. You will also enjoy clean, clear water free of rust and metallic tastes. Most importantly, you will have peace of mind. A new piping system eliminates the constant worry of a sudden, catastrophic leak. This protects your home from the threat of water damage. A repipe also adds significant value to your home. It is a major selling point for future buyers. It shows that the home has been meticulously maintained.

The timeline for a repipe project depends on the size of your home. An average sized home can often be repiped in just a few days. Our team works efficiently to get the job done. We understand you cannot be without water. We will work to ensure you have water service for most of the project. We typically shut off the water during the day while we work. We then restore service in the evenings, at least partially. This minimizes the disruption to your family’s routine. We will give you a clear and accurate timeline before we begin.

Choosing Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain for your repipe is a smart investment. We are a locally owned company built on honesty and hard work. We are fully licensed and insured for this major project. We provide long term warranties on our repipes, giving you decades of confidence. Our plumbers are meticulous. We work cleanly and treat your home with respect. We offer discounts for veterans, seniors, and teachers. We provide free, in person estimates. Our quote will be straightforward and transparent. We are dedicated to providing a 5 star service from start to finish.

All Services Offered By Our Plumbers in Broken Arrow, OK

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain is based in Broken Arrow, located at 605 W Oakland Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, proudly serves customers in the Tulsa metro area. In addition to Repiping, we offer a full range of plumbing services for homes and businesses. Below is our services list offered by our plumbers:

What Makes a Great Repiping Service

A great repiping service is efficient, clean, and minimally invasive. It starts with a thorough inspection and a clear, detailed quote. The plumbing team protects the homeowner’s furniture and floors before starting. They make precise, small cuts in the drywall rather than tearing down walls. They use high quality materials, like PEX or Type L copper. The plumbers work systematically to minimize the time the water is off. They thoroughly test the new system for leaks. A great service includes patching the drywall, leaving the home clean. The company provides a long term, comprehensive warranty.

Most Common Repiping Questions

A whole house repipe is a significant undertaking, and it is normal to have questions. Homeowners want to know about the signs, the cost, and the process. Here are the most common questions we answer about repiping in Broken Arrow.

There are several clear signs that your home’s plumbing is failing and needs a repipe. The most common sign is a major, progressive loss of water pressure. If turning on the kitchen sink makes your shower slow to a trickle, your pipes are clogged. This is caused by decades of rust and scale buildup inside galvanized pipes. Another clear sign is discolored water. If brown or rusty water comes out when you first turn on a faucet, that is the corrosion from your pipes.

Recurring leaks are another definitive sign. If you are experiencing pinhole leaks in copper pipes, it is a symptom of a system wide failure. One leak means more are coming soon. Finally, the age and material of your pipes are a factor. If your home was built before the 1970s and still has its original galvanized steel pipes, it is living on borrowed time. These pipes have a lifespan of 40 to 60 years.

We can help you make a definitive diagnosis. During our free estimate, we can inspect your visible pipes. We can also assess your water pressure. We will give you an honest recommendation. If a simple repair is all you need, we will tell you. If a repipe is the only long term solution, we will explain why.

A repipe is a major project, but it does not have to be a disaster. At Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain, we take great care to protect your home. Our process is designed to be as clean and minimally invasive as possible. We begin by laying down protective coverings for your floors. We also cover any furniture in the work areas. This prevents dust and debris from settling on your belongings.

We do not tear down your walls. Instead, we make small, strategic cuts in the drywall. These openings are typically about one or two feet square. They give us the access we need to run the new pipes. By using flexible PEX piping, we can minimize the number of cuts needed. We can often fish the new pipes through ceilings and walls from just a few access points.

Our plumbers clean up their work area at the end of each day. We do not leave a mess for you to deal with. Once the plumbing is complete and tested, we can coordinate drywall repair. Our goal is to leave your home in great condition. Our 5 star service pledge means we respect your property.

We understand that you cannot live without water for days on end. Our repiping process is designed to minimize this disruption. A typical whole home repipe takes between two and five days, depending on your home’s size. During this time, your water will not be off completely. Our team will strategically plan the project.

Our standard procedure is to turn off the water when we arrive in the morning. We work all day running the new lines. At the end of the day, we will reconnect your old system or parts of the new one. This ensures you have running water in the evenings. You will be able to cook, flush toilets, and use at least one shower.

On the final day of the project, there will be a cutover. This is when we disconnect the old system for good and connect the new one. This final phase may leave you without water for a few hours. We will always communicate the schedule to you clearly. Our goal is to get your new, reliable system up and running with as little inconvenience as possible.

PEX and copper are the two best materials for a repipe. Copper is the traditional, premium material. It is a rigid metal pipe that has been used for over 70 years. Its benefits are its extreme durability and natural resistance to bacteria. Its downsides are its cost and installation. It is more expensive, and its rigid nature requires more joints. It can also corrode and develop pinhole leaks over time.

PEX is a cross linked polyethylene, a flexible plastic tubing. It has become the new standard for repiping. Its main benefit is its flexibility. We can run a single PEX line from your main connection all the way to a faucet. This eliminates most joints, which are potential leak points. This flexibility also makes it much faster and cheaper to install. PEX will not corrode and is resistant to bursting when frozen.

Both materials are excellent, safe, and code approved. For most homeowners, PEX is the superior choice for a repipe. It provides the same reliability as copper for a lower price. It also comes with a faster, less invasive installation. We are experts at installing both. We will provide a free estimate for both options so you can choose.

Yes, in most cases, a repipe is the definitive solution for low water pressure. Low pressure is most often caused by old, galvanized steel pipes. Over decades, these pipes corrode from the inside. This rust and scale buildup, called occlusion, slowly chokes off the pipe. The opening for water to flow through can be reduced to the size of a pencil. This is why you cannot run two faucets at once.

A repipe removes these old, clogged pipes completely. We replace them with new, full diameter PEX or copper pipes. This restores the flow of water to your entire home. The difference is not subtle; it is dramatic. You will be able to run your shower, washing machine, and dishwasher all at the same time.

It is important to note that a repipe fixes low pressure caused by your home’s plumbing. It will not fix low pressure coming from the city’s water main. We can test this for you. Our plumber can check the pressure at your main valve. This will confirm if the problem is your pipes. For 99% of older homes, the pipes are the problem.

A whole house repipe is a significant investment. The final cost depends on several factors. The main factor is the size of your home. A larger, two story home will cost more than a small, one story home. The number of bathrooms and fixtures also affects the price. More fixtures mean more pipe and more connections.

The material you choose is another major factor. A repipe using PEX is almost always more

affordable than one using copper. This is due to the lower cost of the material itself. It is also because the flexible PEX is much faster and easier to install. The number of drywall cuts and the layout of your home also play a role. A home with an open crawlspace is easier to work in than one on a slab.

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain provides free, in person estimates for all repiping projects. This is the only way to get an accurate price. We will walk through your home, count your fixtures, and measure. We will then give you a straightforward, detailed quote. We offer financing options to make this important upgrade more manageable.

Our main expertise is plumbing, not drywall. Our standard repiping service includes the precise cutting of the drywall to access the pipes. We make these cuts as clean and small as possible. However, our base quote does not typically include the final patching, texturing, and painting. This is a separate trade that we leave to drywall specialists.

We do this to save you money. Many homeowners have their own preferred painter or contractor. Some homeowners are handy and prefer to do the patch work themselves. By not including it, we keep our plumbing quote as low and honest as possible. We do not build in markups for a service we subcontract.

However, we are happy to manage the entire process for you. We work with several excellent, trusted drywall contractors in the Broken Arrow area. At your request, we can include their quote in our proposal. This would give you a seamless, turnkey service. We can manage the project from start to finish. We give you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.

A new repipe is a long term investment. It is something you should only have to do once in your home’s life. Modern piping materials are incredibly durable. A new copper piping system, when installed correctly, can last 70 to 100 years or more. It is a proven material with an incredible track record of longevity.

PEX piping is a newer material, but it has been in use for over 30 years. It has also proven to be extremely reliable. PEX is not susceptible to corrosion, which is the main killer of metal pipes. This means it will not develop pinhole leaks or clog with rust. The life expectancy for a PEX system is also estimated to be well over 50 to 75 years.

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain stands behind our work. We provide long term warranties on all our repiping projects. This warranty covers both the materials we use and our own craftsmanship. When we repipe your home, you are getting a system that will likely outlast the home itself. This is the peace of mind that comes from a professional installation.
