Our hot water tank went down this morning and we were at a loss. I called Sargent's plumbing and Andrew Sargent took my call. He had Jeffrey Sargent come to our house in a very short matter of time. Jeffrey installed a new hot water tank and you could tell that he really takes pride in his workmanship. Totally satisfied with the quick response and a job well done. Follow up, I had a slight drain problem from the install but Sargent's plumbing responded immediately and took care of it. Great company, with great service.

We’ve used Sargent’s Plumbing twice and both times they were awesome! The first time was last Christmas Eve afternoon. Our half bath toilet was leaking. They were able to schedule us that day. Hayden arrived on time, assessed the situation, fixed it quickly and didn’t leave a mess. Just recently, the same toilet developed another problem. Called Sargent’s. Jeffrey arrived a little early (not a problem), listened to my concerns and made some adjustments hoping to correct the problem. Unfortunately, it didn’t. He told me it might not; that the toilet should be replaced. Doing that in a couple of days. Quoted a reasonable price for this replacement. He and Andrew have been very patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!

We have had issues with our sewer backing up into the house for a long time. I was worried when I first called because Sargent’s charges by the hour but wait.. They helped unclog the drain so fast it will make your head spin! Super nice, honest, and much more than fair to say the least. Use Sargent’s once and you won’t let anyone else help with your plumbing. Our issue was a little flap that broke off to keep sewage from back flowing into the home. (Ironic isn’t it that this is exactly what this valve caused several times?!). We couldn’t be happier!

We provide licensed Water Supply Lines services across the Tulsa metro area and all nearby areas within a 30-minute radius of our shop at 605 W Oakland Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Below is the full list of locations we proudly serve. If you don’t see your area listed, give us a call to see if we can help:

24/7 EMERGENCY Water Supply Lines

A burst main water line is a major plumbing emergency. You may see water bubbling up in your yard or have no water in your house. Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain offers 24/7 emergency water supply line repair. Homeowners in Broken Arrow and nearby cities trust our rapid response. We never charge extra fees for homeowner emergency or weekend calls.

Water Supply Lines in Broken Arrow, OK

The water supply line is the single pipe that connects your home to the city’s water system. It is a pressurized pipe. It runs underground from the water meter, all the way to your main shutoff valve. This pipe is your responsibility as the homeowner. The city is only responsible for the meter and the pipes in the street. Because this line is underground, it is vulnerable to damage. Tree roots, shifting soil, and corrosion can all cause it to fail. Our service is focused on this critical, underground pipe.

A leak in your water supply line is not always obvious. The most common sign is a massive, unexplained water bill. If your bill doubles, you are paying for water that is leaking. You may also see physical signs in your yard. This includes a patch of grass that is wet or “swampy.” You might see a sinkhole forming. A patch of grass that is extra green is another sign. You may also hear a hissing sound. This sound might be near your main shutoff valve.

A leak in a 100 foot underground pipe is hard to find. We do not just start digging. We use advanced, non invasive leak detection tools. Our licensed plumbers use acoustic listening devices. These are highly sensitive microphones. We can “listen” to the ground. This allows us to hear the “hiss” of the water escaping. This lets us pinpoint the exact location of the leak. This precision is key. It allows us to perform a targeted spot repair. This saves your yard from unnecessary excavation.

Once we find the leak, we can perform a repair. This is often the most cost effective solution. We will excavate a small hole at the exact location of the leak. Our plumbers will cut out the broken section of pipe. We will then install a new, durable section. We use high quality, professional grade couplings. These couplings create a permanent, watertight seal. This spot repair is a lasting solution. It is much more affordable than replacing the entire line. We will then backfill the hole.

Sometimes, a repair is not the best choice. If your water line is very old, it may be failing. This is common with old, galvanized steel or “blue poly” pipes. These materials are at the end of their life. If you have one leak, you will soon have others. In this case, we will recommend a full replacement. This involves installing a brand new water supply line. We will dig a new trench or use a trenchless method. This provides you with a new, 50+ year pipe.

When we install a new line, we use modern materials. The most common material today is PEX Type A tubing. This is an incredibly durable and flexible plastic. Its flexibility makes it easy to install. It is also highly resistant to freezing. It will not corrode like metal pipes. Copper is another excellent, premium choice. Copper is very durable. It has been used for decades. We are experts at installing both. We will recommend the best material for your situation. We will never use the cheap, low quality materials.

Choosing Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain is the safe choice. This is a major repair that must be done right. We are a locally owned company built on honesty. We are fully licensed and insured for this excavation work. We provide free in person estimates. We will give you a straightforward quote. We will explain your options. We offer long term warranties on our repairs and replacements. We also offer 10% discounts for veterans, teachers, and seniors. We are your partners in restoring your home’s water.

All Services Offered By Our Plumbers in Broken Arrow, OK

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain is based in Broken Arrow, located at 605 W Oakland Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, proudly serves customers in the Tulsa metro area. In addition to Water Supply Lines, we offer a full range of plumbing services for homes and businesses. Below is our services list offered by our plumbers:

What Makes a Great Water Supply Lines Service

A great water supply line service starts with advanced leak detection. The company must be able to find the leak accurately. They must be licensed and insured for excavation. The plumbers must work safely. They must call 811 to have other utilities marked. They use high quality materials for the repair, like PEX or Type K copper. They backfill the hole properly. A great service is fast. It restores your water with minimal downtime. The repair is backed by a solid warranty.

Most Common Water Supply Lines Questions

A problem with your main water line is a major, stressful event. Homeowners have urgent questions about the cost and the repair process. Here are the most common questions we answer.

There are several clear signs of a main water line leak. The number one sign is a sudden, high water bill. If your water usage has not changed, but your bill is huge, you are paying for a leak. Another sign is a loss of water pressure. This happens if the leak is very large.

You should also look for physical signs in your yard. Look for a wet, “swampy” patch of grass. This spot will be there even when it has not rained. You may also see a sinkhole or a small, bubbling spring. A patch of grass that is much greener than the rest of the yard is another sign. This is where the grass is getting extra water.

You can also check your water meter. Go to your meter box at the street. Write down the number. Do not use any water in your house for one hour. Go back and check the meter. If the number has changed, you have a leak. If you hear a hissing sound at your main shutoff valve, that is the sound of the leak.

This is a very important question. The city or utility company is responsible for the water main. This is the large pipe under the street. They are also responsible for the water meter. The homeowner’s responsibility begins after the meter.

The underground pipe that runs from the water meter to your house is your pipe. It is called the water supply line. You, the homeowner, are 100% responsible for the maintenance and repair of this line. If this line breaks, it is your responsibility to pay for the repair.

This is why this repair is so critical. A leaking line is your financial responsibility. You are paying for the lost water. You must also pay for the repair. Our team can find this leak. We can fix it. This will stop the financial drain and restore your water.

We find underground leaks using advanced technology, not guesswork. We do not dig random holes in your yard. This “search and destroy” method is costly and destructive. We use a non invasive method. It is called acoustic leak detection. This is a very precise and accurate service.

Our licensed plumbers use highly sensitive listening equipment. This includes ground microphones and acoustic amplifiers. A broken pipe makes a distinct “hissing” sound. This is the sound of the pressurized water escaping. This sound is not audible to the human ear. Our equipment can hear it.

We will listen to your pipe. We will also listen to the ground above it. The sound will be loudest at the exact spot of the leak. This allows us to find the leak. We can pinpoint it to a very small area. This means we only have to dig one, small hole. This saves your yard.

This is a great question. The answer depends on the age and material of your pipe. If your home is newer, you likely have a PEX or copper line. These are very durable. If you have a single leak, it was probably caused by a rock. In this case, a “spot repair” is the perfect solution. We will dig one hole and fix that spot.

However, if your home is older, you may have a galvanized steel or “blue poly” pipe. These materials are at the end of their lifespan. A galvanized pipe is rusting from the inside. A blue poly pipe is brittle. If you have one leak, it is a sign that the entire pipe is failing.

In this case, a repair is a bad investment. You will just have another leak next year. We will honestly recommend a full replacement. We will install a new, modern PEX line. This will give you 50+ years of trouble free service. We will always give you both options. We will give you the price to repair and the price to replace.

“Blue poly” is the common name for polybutylene pipe. This was a cheap, plastic pipe. It was used in many homes from the 1.970s to the mid 1990s. It is usually a bright blue or gray color. At the time, it was seen as a cheap and easy alternative to copper. Unfortunately, this material was a failure.

The pipe itself becomes brittle over time. The chemicals in tap water, like chlorine, attack the plastic. The pipe will crack and split. The plastic fittings used on this pipe were also prone to cracking. This material led to so many floods that it was the subject of a major class action lawsuit.

If your home has a blue polybutylene water line, it is not a question of “if” it will fail. It is a question of “when.” A repair is not recommended. You are just patching a failing system. The only solution is a full replacement. We can replace your entire line. This will protect your home.

We treat a broken water supply line as an emergency. You have no water. This is a top priority call. We offer 24/7 service for this exact reason. Once you call us, we will dispatch a plumber. We will arrive quickly and find the leak. This leak detection part is fast.

Once we find the leak, we will perform a spot repair. This is almost always a same day service. We will call 811 to have the utilities marked. We will then dig the hole. We will cut out the bad pipe. We will install the new section. We will then backfill the hole. We can usually have your water back on in just a few hours.

A full replacement is a larger project. This may take one to two days. However, we will work to minimize your downtime. We will get your water back on as fast as we can. Our goal is to solve your problem with minimal disruption.

We do everything possible to protect your yard. For a “spot repair,” the answer is no. Your yard will not be destroyed. We use leak detection to find the exact spot. We will dig one, small hole. We will place the dirt neatly on a tarp. This protects your grass. After the repair, we will backfill the hole. We will compact the soil. You will have one small patch of dirt.

For a full replacement, the impact is larger. The traditional method is to dig a trench. This is disruptive. However, we also offer “trenchless” water line replacement. We can often pull a new pipe right through the old, broken one. This is called pipe pulling.

This trenchless method only requires two small holes. We dig one at the meter and one at the house. We can pull a brand new line under your yard. This will save your trees, your driveway, and your landscaping. We will always discuss these options with you. We will find the best solution for your property.

This is a critical skill for every homeowner. If you have a burst water line, you must stop the water. You have two shutoff valves. The first is your “house shutoff.” This is located where the water supply line enters your home. In Broken Arrow, this is usually in your garage. It may also be in a utility closet. It is a valve, often with a lever or round handle. Turning this clockwise will shut off water to your house.

The second shutoff is at the “water meter.” This is in the box in your yard, near the street. Open the lid. You will see the meter. There is a valve on the city side and a valve on your side. You can turn the valve on your side. It often requires a special “water key” tool.

In an emergency, try the house valve first. If that does not work, or if the leak is before the house, you must use the meter valve. If you cannot, call us. Our 24/7 dispatcher can walk you through it. We will send a plumber immediately to shut it off.
