Our hot water tank went down this morning and we were at a loss. I called Sargent's plumbing and Andrew Sargent took my call. He had Jeffrey Sargent come to our house in a very short matter of time. Jeffrey installed a new hot water tank and you could tell that he really takes pride in his workmanship. Totally satisfied with the quick response and a job well done. Follow up, I had a slight drain problem from the install but Sargent's plumbing responded immediately and took care of it. Great company, with great service.

We’ve used Sargent’s Plumbing twice and both times they were awesome! The first time was last Christmas Eve afternoon. Our half bath toilet was leaking. They were able to schedule us that day. Hayden arrived on time, assessed the situation, fixed it quickly and didn’t leave a mess. Just recently, the same toilet developed another problem. Called Sargent’s. Jeffrey arrived a little early (not a problem), listened to my concerns and made some adjustments hoping to correct the problem. Unfortunately, it didn’t. He told me it might not; that the toilet should be replaced. Doing that in a couple of days. Quoted a reasonable price for this replacement. He and Andrew have been very patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!

We have had issues with our sewer backing up into the house for a long time. I was worried when I first called because Sargent’s charges by the hour but wait.. They helped unclog the drain so fast it will make your head spin! Super nice, honest, and much more than fair to say the least. Use Sargent’s once and you won’t let anyone else help with your plumbing. Our issue was a little flap that broke off to keep sewage from back flowing into the home. (Ironic isn’t it that this is exactly what this valve caused several times?!). We couldn’t be happier!

24/7 EMERGENCY Sewer Line Repair

A sewer backup is a hazardous and disgusting plumbing emergency. When sewage is coming up your drains, you need help immediately. Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain offers 24/7 emergency sewer line repair. Homeowners in Broken Arrow and nearby cities trust our rapid response. We never charge extra fees for homeowner emergency or weekend calls.

Sewer Line Repair in Broken Arrow, OK

Sewer line repair is the service of fixing a damaged main drain pipe. This is the single pipe that carries all your home’s wastewater to the city sewer. When this pipe is broken, cracked, or collapsed, it needs a professional repair. This is a complex job that should only be done by licensed plumbers. Our service begins with a sewer camera inspection. This allows us to find the exact location and cause of the problem. We can then determine the best repair method. This could be a traditional spot repair or a modern trenchless repair. Our goal is to provide a permanent solution.

There are many reasons why a sewer line might fail. In older Broken Arrow homes, the pipes are often made of clay or cast iron. These materials break down over time. Clay pipes are brittle and crack easily. Cast iron pipes rust and corrode from the inside. The most common cause of failure is tree root intrusion. Roots are powerful; they can crack a pipe and create a massive clog. Shifting soil or heavy equipment can also crush a pipe. An improper installation with a belly or sag will also lead to failure. Our camera inspection will identify the exact cause.

The most common signs of a broken sewer line are severe. If you have sewage backing up into your showers or floor drains, you have a major problem. You may also notice multiple drains gurgling or backing up at the same time. A persistent foul odor inside or outside your home is another sign. You might see a soggy, indented, or unusually green patch of grass in your yard. This is where sewage is leaking out. A sudden infestation of rodents or insects can also be a sign. They use the broken pipe as a highway into your home.

We offer traditional spot repair services. This method is often the most cost effective for a single, isolated break. After locating the problem with our camera, we excavate a small area. We dig down to the broken section of pipe. Our licensed plumbers will cut out the damaged piece. We then replace it with a new, heavy duty section of PVC pipe. We use high quality couplings to ensure a watertight seal. This method is very reliable. We ensure the new pipe is properly bedded on gravel. This prevents it from sagging in the future.

We also offer modern trenchless sewer line repair. This method is ideal when the pipe runs under your driveway, patio, or large trees. It avoids large scale excavation. The most common trenchless method is pipe lining. We insert a flexible, resin saturated liner into your old pipe. We then inflate a bladder inside the liner. This presses the liner against the walls of the old pipe. The resin cures in a few hours. It becomes a brand new, hard, structural pipe inside the old one. This pipe within a pipe is seamless, durable, and root proof.

Another trenchless method is pipe bursting. This is a replacement method that also avoids digging a long trench. We dig a small access hole at each end of the line. We pull a new, high strength pipe through the old, broken pipe. A bursting head on the front of the new pipe shatters the old pipe. The new pipe is pulled into its place. This is a great solution for a line that is collapsed or severely damaged. It gives you a brand new pipe without destroying your yard. Our team can advise you on the best method.

Choosing Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain for your sewer repair is a wise decision. This is a major repair, and you need a contractor you can trust. We are a locally owned company built on honesty and hard work. We are fully licensed and insured for this excavation and plumbing work. We provide free in person estimates and straightforward pricing. We will show you the camera footage so you can see the problem yourself. We offer long term warranties on our repairs. We also have discounts for veterans, seniors, and teachers.

All Services Offered By Our Plumbers in Broken Arrow, OK

In addition to Sewer Line Repair, we offer a full range of plumbing services for homes and businesses. Below is our services list offered by our plumbers:

What Makes a Great Sewer Line Repair Service

A great sewer line repair service starts with an accurate diagnosis. The plumber must use a video camera to find the exact problem. They should never guess. A great service offers you options. They can explain the benefits of both traditional excavation and trenchless repair. The company must be fully licensed and insured for the work. The crew works safely, respecting your property and all utility lines. They use high quality materials and follow all codes. They guarantee their work will pass inspection. The repair is backed by a long term warranty.

Most Common Sewer Line Repair Questions

A broken sewer line is a stressful problem. Homeowners have urgent questions about the repair methods, costs, and timeline. Here are the most common questions we answer about sewer line repair in Broken Arrow.

There are several very clear signs that your sewer line is broken or has a major clog. The most alarming sign is sewage backing up into your home. This often happens at the lowest point, like a basement floor drain or a downstairs shower. If you flush a toilet and water comes up in the bathtub, that is a classic sign of a main line blockage. Another sign is when multiple drains are gurgling or slow.

You may also notice signs outside your home. A persistent, foul sewer gas odor in your yard is a major red flag. This means waste is leaking out of the pipe. You might also see a patch of your lawn that is suddenly very green and lush. This is where the fertilizer from the leak is escaping. A soggy, sunken spot in your yard is another symptom.

If you suspect a problem, you should call us immediately. These symptoms are serious. They indicate a significant health hazard and a major problem with your plumbing. Our 24/7 emergency service is available for these situations. We will respond quickly to diagnose and contain the problem.

Traditional sewer repair is also known as the open cut or trench method. This is what most people picture. We use an excavator to dig a trench along the sewer line. This exposes the pipe. We then cut out the broken section and replace it with a new piece. This method is very effective. It is often the best choice for a single, isolated break. It allows us to physically see and replace the pipe.

Trenchless repair is a modern alternative that avoids digging a large trench. This is ideal for pipes that run under driveways, patios, or landscaping. Pipe lining is a trenchless method. We insert a flexible liner coated in epoxy resin. We inflate it, and it hardens to form a new pipe inside the old one. Pipe bursting is another trenchless method. We pull a brand new pipe through the old one, shattering the old pipe underground.

The best method depends on your situation. Trenchless is less destructive to your yard, but it is not always an option. If the pipe is severely collapsed, a liner may not work. Our experts will assess your pipe with a camera. We will then explain the pros and cons of each method. We will provide a straightforward quote for the best solution.

The timeline for a sewer line repair depends on the method we use. A traditional spot repair that requires excavation is often a one to two day job. The first day involves digging, making the repair, and calling for an inspection. The second day, after the inspection passes, is for backfilling the trench. We work efficiently to get your line back in service as fast as possible.

Trenchless repair methods can often be completed in a single day. Both pipe lining and pipe bursting are very efficient. The setup takes time, but the process of lining or bursting the pipe is relatively fast. This can significantly reduce the downtime for your plumbing. This is a major advantage, along with the preservation of your landscaping.

We will always provide you with a clear timeline before we begin. We understand how disruptive a sewer problem is. Our team will work diligently to restore your plumbing. We are available 24/7 for emergencies. We will get a team out to you immediately to start the process. Our goal is to solve your problem permanently and quickly.

We understand that your yard and landscaping are important to you. We do everything in our power to minimize the damage. If we perform a traditional excavation repair, we will have to dig. There is no way around this. However, we dig a precise trench, not a massive hole. We place the excavated dirt neatly on tarps. This makes cleanup easier and protects your grass.

After the repair is inspected, we will backfill the trench. We compact the soil as we go. This is a critical step that many contractors skip. Proper compaction prevents the trench from sinking later. We will grade the soil as neatly as possible. You will need to reseed the grass over the trench line, but the rest of your yard will be untouched.

If you are a good candidate for trenchless repair, the impact is minimal. For pipe lining, we may not have to dig at all. We can often work from an existing cleanout. For pipe bursting, we only need to dig two small access pits. The rest of your yard will be completely preserved. We will always discuss the impact on your yard before we start.

Yes, but we must take a clean first, repair second approach. We cannot repair or line a pipe that is still full of tree roots. The roots must be removed completely first. The best way to do this is with our hydro jetting service. We use specialized root cutting nozzles. These nozzles spin at high speed and pulverize the root ball. The high pressure water then flushes the root debris out of the pipe.

After the line is jetted, it is perfectly clean. We will then perform a follow up camera inspection. This allows us to see the pipe clearly. We can now assess the damage the roots have caused. We will be able to see all the cracks and holes where the roots got in.

At this point, we can perform a permanent repair. A pipe lining solution is often ideal for root intrusion. The new, seamless epoxy liner is structural. It seals all the cracks and joints. This creates a new pipe that is impossible for roots to penetrate. This two step process, jetting then lining, is a permanent solution to a recurring root problem.

The cost of a sewer line repair varies widely. It is impossible to give an accurate quote over the phone. The price depends on the exact problem and the chosen repair method. A simple, shallow spot repair will cost less. A deep, complex repair that requires trenchless methods will cost more. The length of the pipe that needs to be lined or burst also dictates the price.

This is why we start with a camera inspection. The inspection allows us to find the exact problem. We can measure its depth and location. We can assess the pipe’s overall condition. This is the only way to determine the best, most cost effective solution. After the inspection, we can provide a straightforward, accurate quote.

Sargent’s Plumbing & Drain provides free in person estimates for sewer line repairs. We will show you the camera footage and explain your options. We offer financing to make this unexpected expense manageable. We also provide 10% discounts for veterans, teachers, and seniors. Our pricing is honest and transparent, with no hidden fees.

This is a very common and important question. The answer is it depends. Most standard homeowners insurance policies will not cover the cost of the sewer line repair itself. The insurance company views the pipe’s failure, whether from age or roots, as a maintenance issue. They do not typically pay to repair or replace the pipe.

However, many policies will cover the resulting damage from the sewer backup. This includes the cost to clean up the sewage in your home. It can also cover the replacement of ruined flooring, drywall, and furniture. Some policies have an add on, called a water backup endorsement, that you must purchase. This endorsement specifically covers this type of damage.

You must read your policy or call your agent immediately. We will provide a detailed, itemized invoice. This will separate the cost of the repair from any interior cleanup. This documentation will be essential for your insurance claim. We will do whatever we can to help you with this process.

Our goal is to provide a permanent solution, not a temporary patch. A spot repair, where we replace a section with PVC, will last for decades. The new PVC pipe itself has a lifespan of 50 to 100 years. The couplings we use are designed to be permanent and watertight. This repair is extremely durable.

Trenchless repair methods are also designed to be a long term fix. A new CIPP (cured in place pipe) liner has a life expectancy of 50 years or more. It is a structural, seamless pipe that is resistant to roots and corrosion. A pipe bursting replacement is also a 50+ year solution. You are getting a brand new, high strength pipe.

We back all our sewer line repairs with long term warranties. This gives you confidence in our work. We are a locally owned company that stands behind our craftsmanship. When we repair your sewer line, we are solving the problem for good. This is a core part of our 5 star service guarantee.
